WINTER TRAINING SEASON | CROSS COUNTRY

The beauty of cross country is that it’s you against not only the competition and yourself, but also Mother Nature. Over a variety of surfaces, from dirt and grass to mud and asphalt to gravel and everything in between. You’ll find sharp turns, short steep hills, long cantered sections, logs to jump, creeks to cross, bridges to negotiate, all combining to constantly disrupt your rhythm much more so than a race run on an even, flat surface.

High Cadence Athletes are currently preparing for the upcoming Qld Schools State Cross Country Championships, Maroochydore, Qld Athletics State Cross Country Championships, Maleny and the 2018/2019 Track season.

The most recent Cross Country qualifying events saw 15 HC athletes selected to compete for their respective regions at the Qld Schools Cross Country Championships 22-23 July.

PLEASE ensure your Qld Athletics Memberships are up to date and or renewed.

 

All NEW members will be required to process their annual Membership with HIGH CADENCE at the commencement of the TERM THREE coaching period.

This does not apply to athletes who commenced in January.

This is valid from January to December with the perks being:

  • Membership to High Cadence and notifications/emails of different initiatives and running related information
  • E-newsletters from High Cadence
  • 10% discount on all running shoes and apparel at Shoes Feet Gear
  • Personal Accident Insurance coverage under the Athletics Australia Insurance Scheme.

All NEW Members are required to submit a new Membership Form for the 2018 season, to ensure your contact information is up to date.

Please note coaching fees are payable for the Term 3 coaching period at the commencement of the term.
